Childhood Anxiety Resource Pack

Welcome to the Childhood Anxiety Resource Pack! Below you will find…

  • An 80 minute video tutorial on the simple reality of childhood anxiety, what it is and why (rightly, like all humans) children experience it.

  • A downloadable workbook to utilise while watching the video as a way of brainstorming ideas around regulatory protective factors.

  • A collection of child friendly Melodic Mantras that you can sing with children to help them understand anxiety whilst also helping to soothe it!

To begin with please download the workbook and print it out (if possible) so you can use it as a tool whilst watching the tutorial (don’t worry, it’s super small).

Anxiety is not something we have to fix, or even aim to get rid of. To be human is to have allll the emotional responses and to be human is to have a nervous system that goes up and down and around and around in response to our environments.

Anxiety is the expected outcome when we live in a world that is fast, chaotic, confusing, demanding, expects high standards, high productivity, good results, fitting in, sensory overloaded, information overloaded and full of modern stuff that the brain still hasn't evolved to integrate seamlessly.

Basically? Anxiety is expected, for all us including our children. And it's because of the world, not because of them. So let's learn to understand it and support them to understand it too. Creating relationship with anxiety may be one of the most important toll we each teach the little ones.

Below this video tutorial you will find a timestamped breakdown of each topic we cover, though I recommend watching from beginning to end, time as much time as you need, you will receive ongoing access to this resource.
